It was a rainy morning in Waymeet and the Yule decorations were definitely not looking their best as TOREBRAS Bywater passed through town. It didn’t stop a small hobbit-girl (NOB) from jumping in puddles, splashing him in the process. Torebras, inclined to be huffy, warned the child’s mother not to let her wander, citing ‘odd happenings of late’. The rest of the conversation continued in whispers, but an informant reports hearing a few words: ‘missing’, ‘ponies’ and the final one that prompted a distressed shriek as mother and child fled: ‘remains’.
