WAYMEET. On Thrimidge 28, a Sunday, 1445 S.R., in the evening, a conversation between Chrysoprase Took (played by CHALCEDONY) and BRATTO Banks was interrupted by BOLDIBAD Bolger. Boldibad was guiding his pony, Butterbell, as it pulled an empty cart. Apparantly the cart was so old, it had broken down numerous times. As he entered Waymeet, a wheel came half-way off the cart, sending Boldibad into a loud string of curses (including “tater-tossing mushroom-burning,” which sounded more humerous than rude, to Chrysoprase). Hesitant, at first, Bratto and Chrysoprase approached the older hobbit and offered Bratto’s assistance. Chrysoprase, urged by Bratto to keep her dress clean to avoid making her father angry, sat on a nearby fence to watch.
Boldibad, apparantly aware of Bratto’s lower social status, made a comment on his station, which was brushed aside by Bratto. Chrysoprase seemed to take some offense, but didn’t interject. Boldibad tossed orders around, frustrated about the situation. He had Bratto lift the corner of the wagon, always urging him to lift it higher, while he attempted to replace the wheel.
At one point, Butterbell began to nuzzle Bratto behind the ear, sending him into a fit of giggles. Boldibad thought the laughing was directed at him, but Chrysoprase approached and kept the pony away from Bratto. The job was then done, and Boldibad paid Bratto a measley 3 copper pennies, tossing him one extra with instructions to buy Chrysoprase a flower. Bratto was, nonetheless, appreciative.
Before leaving, Boldibad warned Bratto about marriage and suggested he consider joining the Eligible Bachelor Society.

I have found my way to some rumors that the Luinites are heading east with some trade goods. I propose we have a big Shire-Bree festival (I think the Luinites will be gone for a while) to make use of some of the goods that are bought. This would be a great way to bring in the new era of activity everyone’s hoping for!
I think we need to have regular, interesting events (with thought-provoking TPs connected to them) to anchor more peoples’ desire to connect and RP here. Look at Gondor–they seem to have some decent activity. I suspect it’s because people feel like something is going on in their IC lives that they want to work with and develop.
So, if most of the current active players regularly get RP going and everyone gets involved in a TP of some kind (even if it’s just a group of 3 or 4 people RPing with each other every couple of days), I believe it will form something like a glue that will catch more and more people as they check out the cultures in Eriador.
That being said, I would personally find it fun to get some more plots going between all the cultures in the region (ones that fit into the theme of the game). I think it would be easiest for Bree and Shire to interact, ICly, more often. But, I think even our local elves can find some way to become more involved with everyone else.
Thanks for reading my opinions!

MICHEL DELVING. It was mid-morning when three people came together in the Delving Inn Two dwarves, LERIS and Ranon (played by KELDEAN), and a hobbit, Thilo Bracegirdle (played by BOLDIBAD).
Thilo followed the dwarves into the Delving Inn. He approached them and introductions were generously exchanged. Thilo explained his connections in pipeweed country, and that he dealt almost exclusively in pipeweed. The dwarves, being traders themselves, showed interest in the Bracegirdle’s Longbottom Leaf after trying a sample of it… though they expressed their preference for Old Toby.
Thilo, claiming to have 5 barrels of pipeweed with him, turned down Leris’ offer of dwarven metals in exchange, saying he’d have no use for it. Leris mentioned fireworks, but they were unsure of which of their companions possessed them. Thilo showed much interest in that. Ranon showed Thilo a pipe, claiming it had come from Erebor, a place which Thilo was unfamiliar with. From here, the conversation turned to Bilbo Baggins, and accounts of his assistance in removing the dragon, Smaug.
Thilo didn’t seem to believe it, even laughing. Ranon was somewhat insulted by Thilo’s response, and an argument went back and forth between them. Soon, Mr. Bracegirdle became angry and left the scene.

BRANDY HALL. On Thursday, Thrimidge 7, 1445 S.R., BALTOBRAS Brandybuck whittled a piece of wood in front of the fireplace while BOLDIBAD Bolger slept soundly in a chair nearby. They were recovering from their first breakfast (and, as it turned out, their only breakfast). Boldibad awoke around the same time a small group arrived to await second breakfast. Among those were CHALCEDONY Took (with her young son, Torodac), Germimac Brandybuck (played by BRATTO), and Fadoric Brandybuck (played by TALVO).
Being true to the ways of hobbit kind, the small crowd gathered together around the fireplace to snack on gingerbread hobbits (prepared by Fadoric, moments before) and engage each other in friendly conversation. Balto’s wood-carving expertise started everything off as Torodac showed major interest in the unfinished wooden pony. Balto made a promise to supply Chalcy’s kids with figures, as quickly as he could carve them.
The conversation moved, then, to the well-being of Dharlon Took, Chalcy’s husband, and their plans for the near future. From there, it moved on to Germimac’s ambition to author a novel of intense mystery. He had been sitting quietly, shyly doodling in his personal notepad. But his description of the upcoming story delighted the hobbits to no end.
Suddenly, to everyone’s dismay, an assistant to the cook came into the room and announced that, due to a mistake in calculating the available stock of food, second breakfast would be delayed. To counter their hunger, the hobbits continued to munch on the cookies. Baltobras decided to make his leave to investigate the matter. Germimac, also, left the scene to take care of some things in his room, upstairs.
The talk turned to the deviousness of humans and whether or not they can be trusted. Soon, Chalcy’s adorable daughter, Ruby, arrived from upstairs. Chalcedony, being the considerate matron she is, secretly sent the lass into the kitchen to conjure up a tray of cinnamon buns, which fueled further conversation.
CICELY Gamwich arrived shortly thereafter. Being full of energy and excitement, she offered to relate a tale about a monstrous wolf, which she claimed to had come into contact with in the past. As though a member of the celebrated Shire Players, she acted out her story as she told it, and quickly charmed the older hobbits.
Chalcedony spoke, also, of the time she was attacked by a wolf, and the account was chilling, to say the least. When the cook’s assistant returned to announce that second breakfast was to be canceled, those still present eventually sauntered off to seek food, and Boldibad was unable to fight off sleepiness, returning to a solid snooze in the comfortable chair.

<Forwarded message originally by Cicely (10/25/08)>
-On the blustery sunset of April 10 in Hobbiton, a hobbit named Boldibad stumbled upon a little lass attempting to befriend a black and yellow fuzzy bug in the grass. He tried to protect her from possible sting, but she insisted that as her momma had taught her, if she was nice to the bee, it would be nice in reply. They did not find out whether this would once again hold true for the little lass or not as Boldibad’s top secret papers fell. Being instructed not to look at them, Cicely closed her eyes so tightly that one could see the wrinkles and found the papers through touch. The wind gave a gust and the papers were scattered again, this time in different directions. As Cicely and Boldibad gave chase, another hobbit arrived upon the scene and trapped a sheet with his cane. Instructed by Boldibad to be careful and not rip the page, he lifted his cane, but the page did not move! This Oddo Chubb had a feeling for weather and wind, or lack thereof! as he joked. The papers captured, they were returned to Boldibad. The bee Cicely had been with had flown away and introductions began. – Boldibad Bolger, Oddo Chubb (played by Nob), and Cicely Gamwich. -The papers were maps and tales from a fantasy book, Boldibad explained, and Oddo modestly admitted to writing down “a few observations”, although others may think it more of an Almanac. As the sun hid behind the horizon completely, the hobbits decided to go somewhere with light, drink for the older hobbits, and discuss each hobbit’s knowledge treasures.
